Fifes affordable housing programme on track with more than 80 new home approvals
Fife Council’s commitment to provide 3,500 new affordable homes across the Kingdom by 2022 moved a step closer last week after three new housing developments were given the green light.A meeting of the council’s community and housing services committee saw plans approved plans for new council homes in Newburgh, Springfield and Ladybank, bringing more than 80 new homes to the area.The developments are:Newburgh, South of Cupar Road (45 new homes)Springfield, Crawley Court (30 new homes)Ladybank, Commercial Cresc (8 new homes)The committee also recognised that 43 new council houses already planned for Cardenden are now coming forward.
